Equipment Hire - Terms and Conditions
By hiring equipment from The Mobility Shop, you agree to the following terms and conditions. These terms are designed to keep the hire process simple, fair, and safe for everyone.
1. Equipment Hire
The equipment remains the property of The Mobility Shop at all times. The customer is responsible for the equipment from the time it is delivered or collected until it is returned and inspected by The Mobility Shop. Similar provisions are commonly used in equipment hire agreements.
2. Hire Period
The hire period begins on the agreed hire start date and continues until the equipment is returned or collected. Additional hire charges may apply if equipment is not returned by the agreed return date.
3. Use of Equipment
The customer agrees to:
- Use the equipment only for its intended purpose.
- Follow all operating instructions provided.
- Ensure the equipment is used safely and appropriately.
- Not lend, sell, modify, or transfer the equipment to another person without approval.
4. Care of Equipment
The customer must keep the equipment clean, secure, and in good condition during the hire period. The equipment should be stored safely when not in use.
5. Damage, Loss or Theft
Any loss, theft, accidental damage, or misuse of the equipment must be reported to The Mobility Shop immediately. The customer may be responsible for repair or replacement costs where damage or loss occurs due to negligence, misuse, theft, or failure to take reasonable care. Similar responsibilities are commonly included in equipment hire terms.
6. Faults and Maintenance
If the equipment develops a fault during the hire period, please contact The Mobility Shop immediately. Customers must not attempt to repair, alter, or modify the equipment.
7. Delivery and Collection
Where delivery or collection services have been arranged, someone must be available at the agreed location and time. Additional fees may apply if delivery or collection needs to be rescheduled.
8. Cleaning Charges
Equipment should be returned in a reasonable clean condition. Additional cleaning fees may apply where excessive cleaning is required.
9. Payment
Hire fees, delivery fees, deposits, and any additional charges must be paid in accordance with the agreed payment terms. Outstanding balances may delay future hires.
10. Cancellation
Equipment hire bookings may be cancelled prior to delivery or collection. Cancellation fees may apply where equipment has already been prepared, delivered, or reserved specifically for the customer.
11. Liability
The Mobility Shop is not responsible for any injury, loss, or damage resulting from the incorrect use, misuse, or unauthorised modification of the equipment.
12. Acceptance
By submitting an equipment hire request, signing a hire agreement, or accepting delivery of equipment, the customer confirms that they have read, understood, and agree to these Terms & Conditions.
The Mobility Shop reserves the right to update these Terms & Conditions from time to time without prior notice.
